This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have. We collect as little as we can.

  1. Buildmore is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. That means we decide how and why it is used. You can contact us about anything in this notice at team@hellobuildmore.com.

  2. We only collect information you choose to give us:

    • Through our contact form: your name, your email address and your message.
    • When you email us: your email address, your message and anything you include with it.
    • When we work together: the contact and business details we need to run the project and invoice for it.

    Like most websites, our hosting provider also keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site secure and working.

    • To reply to your enquiry and talk to you about a possible project.
    • To deliver, manage and invoice work we do for you.
    • To keep this website secure and working properly.
    • To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

    We don’t sell your information, and we won’t add you to a mailing list without your agreement.

  4. Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we rely on:

    • Legitimate interests: replying to enquiries and running our business, in ways you would reasonably expect.
    • Contract: taking steps you ask for before a project, and carrying out a project once it is agreed.
    • Legal obligation: keeping the records the law requires, such as accounting records.

  5. We share your information only with the service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host and our email provider, and only so they can provide that service. They may only use it on our instructions. We may also share information where the law requires it.

    Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, as UK law requires.

  6. If your enquiry doesn’t lead to a project, we delete your details within 12 months of our last contact. If we work together, we keep project and billing records for as long as the law requires us to keep business records, then delete them.

  7. This website doesn’t use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

  8. You have the right to:

    • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
    • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
    • Ask us to delete your information.
    • Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information.
    • Ask us to transfer your information to another organisation, where this applies.

    To use any of these rights, email us at team@hellobuildmore.com. We will respond within one month.

  9. If you’re unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

  10. We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
